Republican lawmakers confronted the Democratic mayors of 4 “sanctuary cities” over immigration policies that they suspect bask in shielded prison immigrants in america illegally, placing Individuals and federal officers at risk. 

New York Mayor Eric Adams, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and Denver Mayor Mike Johnston testified sooner than the Home Committee on Oversight and Authorities Reform on Wednesday. 

One day of the hearing, Republican contributors of Congress criticized policies that restrict regulations enforcement’s cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Some lawmakers even argued that sanctuary metropolis policies are a violation of federal regulations, recommending that the metropolis leaders face prison charges.
