2/6/2025 Nigeria (World Christian Project) — Fulani Islamic extremists stormed a village in Ebonyi assert within the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 2, shooting Christians and environment properties on fire. On the least 16 folks died within the assault.

These killed belonged to The Lord Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry. Native sources reported that the assault occurred after plenty of days of threats have been made following accusations that villagers had killed cattle belonging to the Fulani herders. Crew leaders denied the allegations.

Ebonyi Direct Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru condemned the assault and urged residents to dwell serene, assuring them that security forces had been deployed. “Our folks are hospitable, however strangers need to level-headed now not benefit from of their calmness,” he talked about.

Amnesty World issued a press initiating urging Nigerian authorities to behavior an unbiased investigation into the killings and destruction. Security businesses have launched an inquiry, however no arrests have been reported. Native leaders have called for stronger security features to present protection to communities.
